On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Joshua Brown, co-founder and CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, said he is still long on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) despite the recent decline in the stock following third-quarter earnings.
On July 30, Apple reported better-than-expected financial results. Still, the iPhone manufacturer issued Q4 sales guidance below estimates.
Apple’s fiscal Q3 revenue was $109.42 billion. It beat analyst estimates of $108.65 billion. The Cupertino, California-based company reported earnings of $2.02 per share for the quarter, beating estimates of $1.89 per share, according to Benzinga Pro.

Rob Sechan, CEO of NewEdge Wealth, named Howmet Aerospace Inc. (NYSE:HWM), an industrial stock that, as of July 27, has an Outperform rating from RBC Capital. Ken Herbert, an analyst at the firm, raised the price target from $300 to $325.
Jim Lebenthal, partner and chief market strategist at Cerity Partners, picked Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL).
Alphabet, on July 22, posted Q2 revenue of approximately $119.8 billion, beating analyst estimates of $116.82 billion, according to Benzinga Pro. The Google parent company reported Q2 earnings of $9.11 per share, which may not compare to estimates.
Earnings are up 294% year-over-year, the company reported.
Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, recommended J B Hunt Transport Services Inc (NASDAQ:JBHT).
Supporting his view, J.B. Hunt Transport posted its second-quarter results on July 15, beating analyst estimates on the top and bottom lines.
