US Stocks Mixed; Dow Gains Over 100 Points

U.S. stocks traded mixed this morning, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 100 points on Monday.

Following the market opening Monday, the Dow traded up 0.22% to 52,752.28 while the NASDAQ fell 0.64% to 26,114.25. The S&P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.22% to 7,558.82.

Leading and Lagging Sectors

Energy shares jumped by 2.1% on Monday.

In trading on Monday, information technology stocks fell by 1.1%.

Top Headline

Shares of LogProstyle Inc (NYSE:LGPS) rose sharply on Monday following the release of results for the fiscal year ended March 31.

LogProstyle posted FY earnings of 20 cents per share. The company’s sales rose to $140.00 million from $130.00 million in the year-ago period.

Equities Trading UP
           

  • Twin Vee Powercats Co (NASDAQ:VEEE) shares shot up 140% to $11.57 after the company announced a merger agreement to combine its boating operations with a USFM subsidiary in Greenland.
  • Shares of Q32 Bio Inc (NASDAQ:QTTB) got a boost, surging 67% to $18.76 after the company announced 36-week topline results from Part B of the SIGNAL-AA Phase 2a clinical trial.
  • Agenus Inc (NASDAQ:AGEN) shares were also up, gaining 62% to $5.42 after the company announced it will raise $85 million to fund its colon cancer drug trial.

Equities Trading DOWN

  • BNB Plus Corp (NASDAQ:BNBX) shares dropped 52% to $0.18 after the company announced it received a Nasdaq delisitng notification.
  • Shares of YSX Tech Co Ltd (NASDAQ:YSXT) were down 39% to $0.62 after the company reported a year-over-year decrease in FY26 EPS results.
  • Jiuzi Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:JZXN) was down, falling 35% to $1.40. Jiuzi Holdings shares jumped 85% on Friday after the company announced that it intends to sign a cooperation agreement with a company specializing in AI intelligent imaging and data platform technologies.

Commodities

In commodity news, oil traded up 3.9% to $74.20 while gold traded down 1% at $4,073.20.

Silver traded down 2.1% to $58.88 on Monday, while copper rose 0.4% to $6.3095.

Euro zone

European shares were mostly lower today. The eurozone’s STOXX 600 declined 0.3%, while Spain’s IBEX 35 Index fell 0.1%. London’s FTSE 100 fell 0.3%, Germany’s DAX fell 0.1%, while France’s CAC 40 slipped 0.1%.

Asia Pacific Markets

Asian markets closed mixed on Monday, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 falling 1.92%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index rising 0.16%, China’s Shanghai Composite dipping 2.06% and India’s BSE Sensex gaining 0.06%.

Economics

The US monthly budget statement will be released today.
